LPSA is looking for Regional Working Group Coordinator (MENA Region)

LPSA Position Opening

The Local Public Sector Alliance (LPSA) is a global professional network that seeks to promote inclusive, equitable societies and sustainable global development by enhancing the understanding of decentralization and localization as complex, cross-cutting and multi-stakeholder reforms.

LPSA elevates the global debate on public sector decentralization and localization, by (1) knowledge development; (2) knowledge sharing, to ensure a more informed, interconnected global Community of Practice, and (3) engaging in convening, outreach and field building to achieve a larger, more empowered global Community of Practice.

Inspired by the diversity and depth of expertise of our global membership, the Alliance has established a number of regional and thematic working groups to facilitate conversations among policy practitioners, government officials, scholars, and civil society actors in different regions of the world, and on different topics related to decentralization and multilevel governance. In early 2026, together with colleagues throughout the region and with our partners at SALAR International, we hope to stand up a new Regional Working Group for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region.

What is the opportunity?

LPSA is looking for a (part-time) Regional Working Group Coordinator to support and coordinate the work of our nascent Regional Working Group on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This position would be an addition to our current global team.

This is a part-time position or consultancy opportunity with flexible hours (2-4 days per months). The position is ideal for a young professional in public administration, public policy, economics, or a related field with a professional interest in decentralization and global development.

As a result of its part-time nature, this position offers limited financial compensation. The role provides significant scope for professional impact and learning opportunities.

Our organizational values highlight inclusion, diversity, equity, and respect.
