LPSA’s Regional and Thematic Working Groups consist of practitioners and scholars who bring together skills and expertise in a specific global region or thematic area within the field of decentralization and localization. Each working group seeks to assess, advance, and share the state of global knowledge within their region or topic area, with the objective of providing the global community with best-practice conceptual and operational knowledge to address development challenges on their particular topic.
Each of LPSA’s working groups is led by a number of volunteer co-chairs, who – as leading practitioners, scholars, or civil society representatives – want to “elevate the global debate on decentralization and localization” by engaging with colleagues from different countries, institutions, and disciplines.
As part of their knowledge sharing efforts, LPSA working groups meet online 2-3 times per year for webinars, knowledge sharing events, or public meetings. Participation in these knowledge sharing events and meetings is free and open to anyone who is interested in joining the conversation(s).
The tentative schedule for LPSA working group meetings for 2026 is now available. Make sure you don’t miss any of these online events by using the links below to registering now.
