Topic: The role of youth in multi-level governance: how can we meaningfully engage young people?
This panel discussion organized by LPSA and UNDP will explore how young people can be more meaningfully engaged in multi-level governance (MLG) systems, particularly in the context of growing demands for inclusive, transparent, and responsive governance. Bringing together youth leaders, practitioners, local governments, and development partners, the session will examine challenges, opportunities, and practical approaches for strengthening youth participation in governance and decision-making.
The event will also highlight the role of local governance and digital innovation in supporting youth engagement, accountability, and trust in institutions. Participants will exchange experiences, good practices, and actionable recommendations that can help strengthen inclusive governance across different contexts.
