March 23, 2026 - April 3, 2026
3,995€

How can governments involve citizens more in policy and decision making? How can they ensure that voices of women, youth and vulnerable groups are included? And how can citizens be empowered to hold their governments accountable?

Learn more about these questions in our upcoming course on Citizen Participation and Inclusive Governance from 23 March to 3 April in The Hague. In this course, you will:

  • Discuss basic concepts of participatory policy making, including government-citizen relationships and the participation ladder
  • Learn about strategies and practical tools to reach out to diverse groups in the community, including women, youth, and persons with a disability.
  • Discuss best practices and lessons learned of participatory budgeting, citizen assemblies and placemaking
  • Explore how information technologies can ensure greater accountability and transparency within government and facilitate meaningful participation.

Interested? Find more information about the content, application process and group discounts on the website.

We offer a 50% reduction of the course fee for practitioners from local authorities and local NGOs from countries on the OECD DAC-list.
